What? All Better?

Today Baxter had his third vet appointment and was declared "cured" from his eye ulcer! He still has a "deficit" or big dent in his eye that will probably remain for the rest of his life, but no infection. This means that he won't have to have the eyelid sewed shut or lose the eye. Yeah!

I asked how well he can see out of the eye and the doctor said they don't really know except that they believe dogs don't focus like humans. Dogs use more peripherals. So, as long as we're in his general area he can still see us.


Thanks to everyone who called to check on him, left comments, and dropped by. My friend, Jessica, had a dream that her dog, Zoey came up and looked at her which meant, "I am concerned about Baxter. I want to take him my favorite treat." So, they got in the van (in her dream still) and Jessica drove her dog to the store and then Zoey gave the bone over to Baxter. Of course, in real life that would never happen, but Jessica really did buy the bone and bring it all the way here (which is a good five miles). In today busy's world, it really meant a lot. So, thank you everyone.
