Dear Santa

As previously mentioned, the fact that our Christmas tree is upstairs has been a great source of consternation for young Ethan. Yesterday, he drafted a letter to Santa outlining directions to the tree and placed it under the tree. Upon realizing his serious error (if the letter was under the tree how would Santa ever find it when Santa couldn't find the tree in the first place?), he wrote another draft and placed it on the hearth tonight. Here's what he dictated. By the way, the "cage" he refers to is the glass on our gas fireplace. Ethan just knows this will be a barrier to entry, so he explained how to overcome this obstacle as well. Ethan probably thinks we're making it pretty hard on Santa to get here!
