Katie had her first year check-up scheduled last week, however, the doctor canceled, so I just went in to get her height and weight. She's a growing girl - almost 30 inches and weighing in at 23 pounds. (Baxter's still got 1 pound on her, but they're pretty evenly matched right now.)

Lately, she's taken exploring to a whole new level. This picture was taken on Thursday when she was scaling the stairs. Yesterday she pulled herself to a standing position next to a small table in Ethan's room and let go with both hands because she was playing with toys. I didn't get to see it because she never performs for Mom, but Greg said that as soon as she realized she wasn't holding onto anything, she just sat down on her bum. She says, "Dada", "Bye, bye" and "Da Bot" for Bottle. If she's really sad, she will say "Mamamam..." in her crib, but so far that's it. Almost everything is still "Dat!"
