Saturday Yard Work

The sellers of this house listed it in November 2008. For the most part, they moved out March 2009 and we didn't close until October 2009. So, it's had awhile to grow.....

and grow...
and grow...

With a few hired hands from the Young Women of our ward, we discovered we really do have DIRT in the backyard. We filled so many trash cans that we had to start piling the weeds at the end.

The day wasn't all work, though. We also discovered three frogs at home in the weeds. Katie was quite taken with them (maybe delighted is a better word), Baxter was mildly amused, and Abby's huntress side emerged - literally, she tried to eat it. Just LOOK at those eyes!

She is definitely a pekingese with the attitude of, "If you have it and I can't, then it's probably food!"

We were told in Brazil to ignore the snakes.....be afraid of the frogs. I hope those in Washington are safe because they are certainly cute. (So is Katie.)
