Johnny & Bonnie

Johnny and Bonnie Visit

My younger (and much better looking) brother and sister, Johnny and Bonnie arrived last week to visit us for Christmas. Baxter definitely remembered them and the kids have been having a blast. We enjoyed a nice, relaxing Sunday (after we FINALLY got Bonnie's baggage) and we've had a fun time doing all the holiday stuff - going shopping, watching movies, playing games, doing a puzzle, making gingerbread houses, driving around to see Christmas lights, wrapping presents, etc.....We made sugar cookie dough this morning and we plan to frost them tonight. Hopefully, they turn out - it's my first time making them! I don't think Santa will mind too much, though.

Ethan wrote his letter to Santa this morning and hung it on the tree. We have the Christmas music playing. We'll hang the stockings tonight (we couldn't earlier because they were a safety hazard for Katie) and read the Christmas story and open our traditional "one present on Christmas Eve." It's so wonderful to have family around!

That sounds like so much fun. I wish we had kids to do stuff like that for Christmas! We miss you all and I'm sure we will skype at some point.
