Jeff and Nichole's Visit

Jeff and Nichole came to visit us for the Fourth of July! The flew out here on the 3rd and left on the 9th, so Ethan and Katie had plenty of time to spend with them. We didn't get to everything Ethan originally planned for them, but we did quite a bit. It was SO fun to see them and we hope to go visit them soon!

Cooling off with the popsicles Ethan saved just for them. Firecracker popsicles for the 4th of July!

3rd - Despite my truck's battery dying, we managed to pick them up from the airport and give them a quick tour of the house. They brought Ethan a slip n' slide, which he broke out right away.

Thanks, Jeff and Nichole - I love my Slip-N-Slide!

4th - We decided to stay home to set off fireworks. Ethan was all about helping Greg light the fireworks, but Katie hated the loud noise. The people down the street set off almost $800 of illegal fireworks, so we had quite the show right in our backyard.

5th - As usual, the first Saturday of the month is the pug party. Jeff and Nichole have the cutest little dog, Peanut, so we knew they would get a kick out of the pug party. Later that afternoon, we all went to see the new Pixar movie, WALL-E. Cute stuff.

At the pug party, the dogs were provided "pugsicles" - cool gel neckties for the dogs. How cute is that???!!!

Pack of pugs

6th - Sunday was relaxing. We had a nice roast dinner and then headed to out for a walk to the park. It was pretty hot, though, so we stayed inside for the rest of the day and played a few games. Ethan really wanted to play Apples to Apples, but it didn't go as well as he had hoped since he couldn't read. We also played Phase 10 and Ziggity while they were here. So fun!

7th - On Monday, we went to Boondocks Fun Center where Ethan and Jeff rode the go-carts, golfed, and played video games. That night we spurlged on some Maggie Moos ice cream and rented the movie Vantage Point.

Go-karts

Mini-golf: Ethan almost had a one-in-one - TWICE!

Counting the tickets

Ethan spent his 200 tickets on this hat. He calls it his "magic hat."

8th- Tuesday was Jeff and Nichole's third anniversary! It's hard to believe it was three years ago we went to their wedding. Seems like yesterday. Anyway, we had a fun-filled day and we hope they did, too. In the morning we went to a park Ethan calls the "Pirate Park." The kids had a blast.

I forgot what a fish Katie is. Once she saw the water, she started screaming and pointing towards it. I didn't have her swimsuit with me, but I always carry a change of clothes, so I figured 'what the heck' and we took off her dress and let her play around. She had SO much fun!

That afternoon, we went to our community pool and took in some sun.

Then, we got all dolled up for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. I took a cute picture of the happy couple, but it is on Nichole's camera, so I'll have to get it from her. Anyway, yummy food always makes for a good time! We finished the evening with a chick flick - 27 Dresses.

9th - It was time for Jeff and Nichole to bid au revoir to our great state, but before they left, we wanted them to see something sort of western. What better way than to visit Cabelas?

Can you tell Ethan likes to shoot stuff?

THANKS FOR VISITING US!
